Coming up soon will be my attempt to pull off a large and “out-there” musical project.

It all started when I saw this video:

As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to put some vocals on it.

So, this Saturday, I will be recording my take on this. The song will also leaning towards a “Sea Lion Woman” (Feist)

Since I don’t have a shamisen available (currently), the next best thing is banjo. And, I am going to add some more Western intruments to the mix. So far it is going to be: vocals, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, drums, djembe, electric guitar, trumpet, and of course, tap dancing.

The vocalist is the amazing Emily Goldstein, and she has penned the melody and lyrics for the song. So far the working title is “Behind the Times.”
